[noise] Jungle mod corruption

By Djeroek on June 16, 2024 7:41 pm

A while ago I salvaged a bunch of my protracker amiga mods from the mid nineties, a lot were unloadable because of checksum errors on the original floppy disks, some could be partially loaded, but were corrupted resulting in glitched, jumbled playback. This is a collage made from the corrupted mods recordings. I rendered the mods in a protracker clone to wav and have processed and arranged them in a wave editor. Note that the high beeps are the result of sample not being loaded fully, with the protracker loop markers working on the few bits that could be retrieved from disk smile . It's pretty arty farty and anecdotal, but I liked the turd polishing process ;-) . Perhaps normal sounds next week?

This is so fucking cool dude. I used to load text files into mod trackers just to fuck around. But this is so much better. Reminds me of loading video into audacity, somehow.
